Here’s the deal. My friend Seth, after 5 years, is changing his Xbox Live gamertag. For some reason tucked away deep in the dark depths of my conciousness, this has caused a feeling of betrayal. Like a friend that I’ve spent so much time playing online, both with and against, is going away. No more will I see the familiar notification as he signs into Live. Instead, I’m reminding of the betrayal by the new gamertag as it mockingly pop’s into my gaming view. Now, in all honesty, I’m not REALLY upset by this.
